What does a new boiler cost?
A standard CW4 replacement is €1,995-€2,495 incl. BTW fitted, and a CW5 is €2,195-€2,795 incl. BTW. The right choice depends on your shower, bath and how you use hot water. A bigger boiler is not automatically a better fit.

The standard replacement ranges cover the boiler, labour, small installation materials and removal of the old boiler. Your written quote sets out the actual scope, including the flue, connections and any extra work. These ranges help you budget; the agreed quote gives you the total for your job.
What do you need for a quote?
Send your postcode and photos of the boiler, the visible pipes around it and the flue route if you can photograph it safely. Include the make and model if the label is accessible without removing the casing. Tell me about your shower or bath and whether you want to move the boiler.
I’ll look through the photos, ask about anything missing and arrange a visit where needed. You get a written price before booking the installation, with optional extras listed clearly.
What happens on the day?
I remove the old boiler, fit the new one and complete the connections and checks included in your quote. Before the handover, the installation needs to be commissioned and working correctly. I’ll show you the controls and explain how to look after it.
A straightforward replacement is often a day’s work. Moving the boiler, changing a long flue route or arranging access can take longer. We’ll agree the plan and the expected time without heating or hot water beforehand.
What about the flue and pipework?
The rookgasafvoer is part of the installation, so it needs checking when the boiler is replaced. I assess the route, connections, access and what needs replacing before pricing the work. Existing parts are not automatically suitable for a new boiler.
For an apartment with a shared flue, the VvE or building manager needs to be involved in confirming the system’s suitability and arranging any shared work. Let me know at the start if this applies to you.
The gas supply, expansion vessel and heating connections also need to suit the installation. Any required changes go into the quote. If you’re considering a filter or a different thermostat, I’ll explain what it adds and whether it makes sense for your home.

I can quote for fitting it. Send me the exact model and photos before booking, ideally before ordering, so I can check the space, connections and suitability. The quote will explain which installation materials are still needed.
After the installation
